Super King Deluxe
The biggest beds in the building and the most floor around them. A super king, a wardrobe, a desk, two armchairs, and tall windows onto the square.
Standard Double
A double bed, a desk, an armchair, the kettle, and an ensuite with a shower.
Family Room
A double and a single bed in the same room. Cots and foldaway beds can be arranged when you book, and the restaurant has a children’s menu.

Is breakfast included?
Yes, always, and it is in the room rate rather than an add-on. Service runs 7 to 9.15.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in from 4 p.m., check-out by 11 a.m. Early check-ins or late check-outs can often be arranged. Ask when you book.
Is there parking at the hotel?
We do not have a private car park, but guests use the public car park directly outside on Somerled Square. It is free between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m. and ideal for overnight stays. Longer-term parking is available a short walk away at the Bayfield long-stay car park.
Are the rooms accessible?
No lift. The bedrooms sit on three floors above the bars, reached by stairs only. Tell us at the time of booking if you need a first-floor room and we will do what we can.
Is the hotel suitable for families?
Yes. Children eat from their own menu in Antlers, and a cot or folding bed goes into the larger rooms on request.
Do you accept group bookings?
Up to six rooms. Larger groups cannot be taken, even split into separate bookings.
Can I get a packed lunch?
Yes, for a small charge, ordered the night before.
Are all the rooms en suite?
Yes, every one of the twenty-four, with toiletries.
Do you have single rooms?
Yes. A single bed, an ensuite and the kettle.
Can three adults share a room?
A family room takes three, one double and one single. Four or more need two rooms.
Where is the best rate?
On this website. Booking sites add their commission to the price you see there; the direct rate is the lowest we offer, and from October to Easter rooms start at £75.
How far ahead should we book?
With particular dates in mind, well in advance: the hotel sells out. Reserve your dinner table when you book the room; in summer tables go a week ahead.

We were on the top floor with a view of the square. Bed was comfortable and the shower was everything, great water pressure and consistently hot. Dinner in the restaurant: a Talisker old fashioned, pear and blue cheese salad, fresh local mussels, then sticky toffee pudding.
We had a room at the back on the second floor, so nice and quiet. Bed was comfortable and the room was well equipped. Breakfast was delicious, pancakes and bacon, and we also had a wonderful dinner one evening.
Our favourite stay of our ten-day UK visit. We stayed in a three-person room, big enough for us all plus our luggage. The bathroom was huge with a bathtub and a shower. Breakfast was included and was delicious and filling.
We had a standard double room and found it big enough for the two of us, two carry-on suitcases and two backpacks. We were on the top floor. It was cleaned every day for us with new waters and cookies put out.
My room was on the third and top floor, and even from my window I could see the mountains, trees and the sea beyond the rooftops. The single room was small but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, with gluten-free options.
We booked a family room and had a large room overlooking the square. There was no noise at night from the pubs, either downstairs or around, on a Friday or Saturday night. Good restaurant, very busy but managed well.
We asked for a nice view when we checked in and they delivered. Super friendly desk staff. Parking is only a three-minute walk to the long-stay car park. Quite a few flights of stairs, so ask for a lower floor if they give you trouble.
Fantastic view of the town centre. The bar downstairs was nice. The mussels were delicious and they give you loads of them. Nice clean room. Delicious made-to-order breakfast. I would book again.
The staff were very kind and super helpful, the bed was very comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring. Dinner was also wonderful, I got the blade of beef, and there was heating in the rooms at night.
